Saudi Ministry of Education, King Salman Global Academy Ink MoU to Expand Cooperation

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Education and the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in language education services.

The MoU was inked by Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, acting secretary-general of the academy , and Ohoud bint Abdullah Al-Faris, general supervisor of the General Administration of E-learning and Distance Education at the Ministry of Education, according to Arab media.

MoU lays out framework for joint programs

The deal laid out a framework for starting joint programs, applications and modern means of education.

The MoU encourages the two sides to stress international universities, educational institutions, and schools to take advantage of the Academy’s language proficiency test and grants provided by the Saudi government to international students who seek to learn Arabic.

Moreover, the MoU outlines developing Arabic dictionaries and curricula for schools, as well as arranging programs, seminars, conferences, forums and training courses to strengthen the skills of employees in sectors related to the Arabic language.
