Saudi Musical Talent Shines at Jerash Festival in Jordan

RIYADH: The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir (SNOC) performed in a music festival in Amman’s Abdali Boulevard as part of the thirty-seventh Jerash Festival in Jordan.

Saudi musicians, photographers, actors, and heritage experts are representing Kingdom and showcasing its artistic cultural traditions at the festival, which runs from 26 July to 5 August, Arab News reported.

Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, Saudi ambassador to Jordan, attended the event, which included a flethora of folk songs and captivating performances by Saudi singers.

Men’s and women’s teams, accompanied by the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir, also showcased its talent in traditional dances like Al-Khatwa, Al-Khubaiti, Al-Samri, and Al-Yanbaawi. The captivating performances received high applaude from the audience.

Festival organizers present honorary shield to Sultan Al-Bazei

Sultan Al-Bazei, Theater and Performing Arts Commission CEO, who is leading Saudi delegation, was awarded with an honorary shield by the organizers of festival. The special recognition honored the Kingdom’s performers who are participating in the event.

Saudi performances at the event are part of the Ministry of Culture’s mission to promote the Kingdom’s culture at regional and international festivals, as well as to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 by promoting cultural exchange.
