LONDON, England: The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir performed to a packed audience at Westminster Hall in London, marking a significant moment for Saudi music on the global stage. Organized by the Saudi Music Commission, the concert titled Marvels of Saudi Orchestra was the final performance of the London leg of their world tour, which will now continue in Tokyo. This event aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at elevating its cultural presence worldwide.
The evening opened with a powerful rendition of Ana Min Hala Ard, a tribute to Saudi identity originally performed by Mohammed Abdu. A highlight was the fusion of the Saudi song Addait Fi Al-Marqab with Adele’s hit Rolling in the Deep, creating a memorable fusion of Saudi and Western music.
The orchestra continued to showcase a diverse range of national songs, including Saudiyoun, which incorporated musical styles from across Saudi Arabia. The night concluded with a stirring performance of Aashiqeenak, accompanied by traditional dance troupes, celebrating the Kingdom’s rich heritage.
The event also honored Saudi student Abdulmajeed Khankar for his academic achievements, further emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent. The concert was part of a global tour, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambition to promote its cultural and artistic talents internationally.
