Saudi Pavilion at Doha Expo Wins Five Awards, Attracts 1.8 Million Visitors

RIYADH: The Saudi pavilion at the Doha Horticultural Expo 2023 broke the world record by winning five awards and attracting 1.8 million visitors to its expanded 5,000-square-meter site, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Inspired by Mount Tuwaiq, the pavilion’s lush green design offered a groundbreaking digital experience focused on agriculture and environmental sustainability, Saleh Bindakhil, the head director of the Saudi campaign, said. 

The pavilion showcased over 80 successful Saudi projects aligned with the expo’s objectives to inspire global efforts against desertification.

The pavilion won five awards. Among its achievements, the pavilion secured the Guinness World Record for the largest display of exterior LED screens, showcasing 435 LED columns. It also received prestigious awards, including a Gold Muse Award, a Gold French Design Award, a LIV Award, and a silver award from the Bureau International des Expositions.

Saudi Pavilion Draws 1.8 Million Visitors at Doha Expo

Communicating in seven languages, the pavilion welcomed visitors from around the world, highlighting the diversity and richness of Saudi Arabia while emphasizing the country’s pivotal role in agriculture and sustainable projects.

The Doha expo, which began in October last year and ended on March 28, focused on promoting environmental solutions through pillars such as modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability.
