MARIB: The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction for Yemen (SDRPY) has started a package of development projects in the Marib Governorate of Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
These projects include setting up a college of medicine, a girls’ educational complex, and a project for increasing water resources.
Marib’s governor and Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Maj. General Sultan Al-Arada and Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak oversaw the launch ceremony.
The projects aim to create a conducive learning environment for students, improve education, and enhance water resources in the region. They align with the program’s broader goals of supporting, healthcare, education and infrastructure development in Yemen.
The Saudi program has already implemented various projects in Marib, including healthcare enhancements, educational support, road infrastructure improvements and water resource development. These efforts are part of the program’s commitment to provide sustainable development across Yemen.
SPDRY’s approach, focused on eight key sectors agriculture, health, education, energy, water, transportation, fisheries, and government capacity building. The development programs across Yemen are transforming lives and communities.
