RIYADH: Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh has congratulated Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi on his recent election as Speaker of the Arab Parliament, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
Dr. Al Al-Sheikh acknowledged the Arab Parliament’s important role as a partner in shaping unified Arab policies and its ongoing commitment to defending Arab issues through parliamentary diplomacy.
He highlighted the participation of Shura Council members in the activities of the Arab Parliament, including its general sessions and the work of its four permanent committees.

He noted, this involvement, aligns with the guidance and support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He added the Shura Council’s role in promoting joint Arab action and active participation in regional and international parliamentary unions and forums.
On behalf of the Shura Council, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh also congratulated the newly elected vice presidents and members of the Arab Parliament, wishing them success in advancing initiatives that serve the interests of the Arab nation.
