Saudi Team Saves Life of Kuwaiti Pilgrim Through Cardiac Catheterization

ARAFAT:  A medical team at King Abdullah Medical City, member of the Makkah Health Cluster has saved the life of a Kuwaiti Hajj pilgrim who had suffered a major heart attack, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The pilgrim had complained the health officials of severe chest pain. The hotline at the Makkah Health Cluster was contacted, the patient was shifted to the hospital by ambulance, and the treatment protocol was activated without any delay.

The medical team performed cardiac catheterization and coronary angioplasty, resuming the normal blood flow. The patient was placed under close observation in the cardiac intensive care unit.
