BISHKEK: The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev has held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Central Asia International Health Investment Forum held on 26-27 June 2024 in Bishkek.
They held the meetings with Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Akmaral Alnazarova, Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Dr. Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe.
Secretary-General and his counterparts during the interactions discussed the ongoing cooperation in the field of health within the OTS, the 4th OTS Health Ministers Meeting to be held in Baku in October. They also reviewed the international cooperation opportunities in the health sector.
In April this year Omuraliev met with the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus within the framework of the Turkic Week in Geneva.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in constructive talks aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness, ensuring healthy lives, empowering health systems, and well-being for all and creating an enabling environment for a good partnership.
They expressed their continued commitment to fostering cooperation and international dialogue.
