Secretary Education Briefs College Principals on Government Initiative

ISLAMABAD: Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, the Special Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, held a meeting with Principals of all degree colleges in Islamabad on Monday.

The meeting aimed to provide them with insights into recent government initiatives aimed at transforming these colleges into evening high-impact IT institutions.

Under the initiative, the colleges are set to be affiliated with prestigious institutions such as NUST, NUML, COMSATs, and NSU, with funding provided by NAVTC. The program aims to benefit a total of 1000 trainees per course over six months, focusing on areas including Game Development, AI, Data Science, and Blockchain.

Wani also highlighted that the colleges can expect a significant overhaul of their digital infrastructure and connectivity, signaling a complete turnaround in their technological capabilities.

The meeting underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing IT education and empowering students with cutting-edge skills to meet the demands of the digital age.
