LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi issued directives to the party workers to reach Zaman Park today despite the government imposed section 144 in the city, local media reported on Sunday.

Talking to the media in Lahore, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that there was no justification for section 144 in the city, adding that they would challenge the decision of the government in the Lahore High Court.  Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that there was no justification for banning the rally as the schedule for the elections had already been announced. He added that he would plea to the Election Commission of Pakistan over the matter as the caretaker government is bound to the ECP. He directed the workers to remain peaceful and asked them to reach Zaman Park today at 2 pm. He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will lead the rally today.
