RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed three terrorists during an Intelligence Based Operation in a general area south of the Awaran district of Balochistan, ISPR said in a press release here on Saturday.
According to ISPR, from March 15 onwards, an Intelligence Based Operation has been initiated to intercept a terrorist group operating in the general area South of Awaran.
“The terrorists were linked with firing and improvised explosive devices incidents along Turbat-Awaran Road and surrounding areas,” ISPR said.
Based on credible information, multiple ambushes had been laid along different routes in the area frequented by the terrorists for the last three days, ISPR said.
ISPR says terrorists killed after heavy exchange of fire
Resultantly, a party of three terrorists was intercepted while moving toward their hideout. On being blocked, they opened fire on the security forces, ISPR said.
According to ISPR, during the ensuing heavy exchange of fire, all three terrorists were killed, while a cache of ammunition and arms was recovered.
