RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in northwestern Pakistan, a military statement said on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted in the Kolachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district where one terrorist was arrested in critical condition.
The statement said during the operation, Pakistani troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location as a result of which, two terrorists were killed while one got injured.
The ISPR said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as the killing of innocent civilians.
The statement said a sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the officers and officials of the security forces for conducting a successful operation against terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan.
In their separate statements today, they appreciated the security forces for sending two terrorists to hell and apprehending one other.
They vowed to continue operations till the complete eradication of the scourge of terrorism from the country.
The President and the Prime Minister said they and the entire nation are standing shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
On Saturday, six soldiers were martyred and 22 terrorists were eliminated in engagements in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
