RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces recovered a huge cache of ammunition and arms including improvised explosive devices during an intelligence-based operation in the area of Rehman Kahul, Chaman on Sunday.
“Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation to clear a suspected hideout of terrorists, linked with recent terrorist incidents including the planting of improvised explosive devices in Chaman and surrounding areas”, ISPR said in a statement.
Continuous technical surveillance in Chaman
By means of continuous technical surveillance along with reconnaissance of the area, location of the terrorists was identified and security forces were employed to check it, the statement added.
Extensive search and sanitization were carried out in the area, and resultantly, a huge cache of arms and ammunition including improvised explosive devices has been recovered.
