Sedition Case: Court Orders FIA to Arrest Shahbaz Gill, Block his CNIC

ISLAMABAD: A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad began the procedure to tag Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehbaz Gill as the proclaimed offender (PO) in a case involving alleged sedition.

The sessions court Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra directed the FIA to arrest Gill immediately. “Shehbaz Gill should be arrested at any country’s airport where he is seen in Pakistan and presented before the court,” the judge ordered.

Justice Tahir Abbas Sipra directed the NADRA Chairman to block national identity card of Gill. He remarked that Gill was deliberately not participating in the proceedings. He ordered posting the advertisement outside Gill’s house in Faisalabad.

The session court postponed the hearing till July 26 and ordered the deputy commissioners of Faisalabad and Islamabad to produce a report on all of Gill’s properties within 30 days. The ASI also gave the court a report on Shehbaz Gill’s compliance with the non-bailable warrant.
