ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said that selectors”, who brought Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan into power in 2018, are now regretting their earlier decision.

Addressing the party workers’ convention in Islamabad, Maryam Nawaz said: “Your [Imran Khan] selection committee has been dissolved, and your selectors have left for home.”

Maryam vowed that the Bhara Kahu flyover would be completed soon. She urged the public to compare the governance of PML-N and PTI during the past 10 years in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, respectively.

“Whenever the country’s economy collapses because of the maladroit rulers, people look to Nawaz Sharif for rescue,” Maryam said.

Maryam lashed out at the Imran Khan-led previous government and said that Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar should have made Khan, who has restricted himself to Zaman Park in Lahore, sit before the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team for talks.
