ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday passed a resolution with majority vote to suggest that general elections to all the provincial assemblies and the national assembly should be held on the same day across the country.
The resolution was presented by Senator Tahir Bazenjo. The resolution said that political stability was imperative for financial stability. It said that elections on the same day will strengthen the federation. The opposition PTI staged a protest over the government move and chanted slogans in the house.
