ISLAMABAD: In the midst of heated exchanges between Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and Opposition Leader Senator Shahzad Waseem, the Senate session was prorogued sine die by Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Tuesday without conducting any business.

“In accordance with the authority granted by Clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution, the president is pleased to prorogue the Senate session upon the completion of its business,” according to a prorogation order issued by Sadiq Sanjrani, who presided over the heated session.
