ISLAMABAD: Islamabad-Lahore motorway has been closed for traffic due to the dense fog in the area.
A motorway police spokesperson said late Tuesday night that (M-1) Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway, M-2) Islamabad to Kot Momin, Swat Expressway from Col Sher Khan to Chakdara, Hazara Motorway from Burhan to Shah Maqsood, Motorway M-14 from Hakla to Yark has been closed for all traffic.
Meanwhile, extremely cold weather persists in Lahore. The people of the city continue to face the challenge posed by the intensifying cold.
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) had predicted rainfall in different parts of the country in the last week of January. The temperature in the city has been recorded at 6 degrees Celsius Tuesday night.
