RIYADH: Seychelles’ President Wavel Ramkalawan on Monday reaffirmed his country’s support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Seychelles’ commitment to support the Saudi bid was reinforced during a meeting between Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, Advisor to the Saudi Royal Court, and Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan.
Saudi Royal Court Advisor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, who is on a trip to Seychelles, has conveyed King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s verbal message concerning bilateral ties and ways to expand bilateral cooperation to President Wavel Ramkalawan.
Received by Ramkalawan at the presidential palace in Victoria, Royal Court Advisor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the president, the government and the people of Seychelles, according to Saudi media.
President Wavel Ramkalawan, in turn, sent his greetings to the Saudi leadership, the government and the people.
Ramkalawan Lauds Saudi Arabia’s Policies
Ramkalawan said his country supports Saudi Arabia’s bid to organize Expo 2030 in Riyadh and expressed appreciation for the First Saudi-African and 5th Arab-African summits to be held in Riyadh this year.
Kattan conveyed the Saudi government’s gratitude for this support, which stems from the distinguished ties between the two nations.
Meanwhile, Seychelles’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, has restated his country’s endorsement of Saudi Arabia’s aspiration to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Minister Radegonde conveyed his country’s gratitude for the forthcoming First Saudi-African and Fifth Arab-African summits scheduled to take place in Riyadh later this year.
Advisor Kattan expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the demonstrated support and conveyed a message from King Salman to President Ramkalawan, emphasizing bilateral relations and avenues for enhanced cooperation.
