WASHINGTON: Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad has attended the 2024 annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
He held bilateral talks with ministers and officials from various countries, as well as heads of banks and development organizations, including the Arab Coordination Group (ACG). The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and enhancing development cooperation to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in least-developed and developing nations.
Al-Marshad also participated in a “Cooperation and Integration in Sustainable Development” event organized by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) General Secretariat. He highlighted the SFD’s role in supporting development and promoting regional and international collaboration to provide essential financing for development projects across the world.
The SFD’s participation in such meetings highlights the importance of development partnerships and international cooperation and its 50-year commitment to strengthening the foundations of sustainable development in various forms.
