RIYADH: The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has signed a $67 million development financing agreement with the Oman Development Bank (ODB), the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

This agreement is part of the $150-million support program given by Saudi Arabia to Oman through the fund.

The investment aims to support the ODB’s initiatives in financing SMEs’ activities, improve social and economic growth, and create jobs across Oman’s governorates.

The ODB is one of Oman’s most important government entities concerned with providing financing facilities for micro, small, and medium enterprises in the country.

The agreement was signed by the co-chairs of the Saudi-Omani joint committee, with Saeed Al-Qahtani from the SFD, Zahir Al-Abri and Oman Development Bank, CEO, Hussein Al Lawati in Muscat.
