MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming project ‘King,’ along his daughter Suhana Khan in leading roles, has been delayed indefinitely after the former backed out from the project.
According the local media reports the announcement of the project excited many, however, the film has been shelved.
The plot of ‘King’ followed Shah Rukh Khan’s character protecting an orphan girl.
However, the Sujoy Ghosh directorial has been delayed indefinitely. The media reported that the project would not see the day, after the wide negative criticism on Suhana Khan’s debut film ‘The Archies.’
The reports said the SRK has withdrawn from the project, to prevent his daughter from facing the burdens of unfavourable comparisons with him.
Shah Rukh Khan has also been concerned with the aftermath of Suhana’s performance in her debut movie, which received considerable criticism from the audience.
Khan is a bonafide actor in Indian entertainment industry and there are no second thoughts about it. The actor rules millions of hearts with his excellent skills over the years.
