Shaheen Shah Afridi Jumps in ICC T20I Rankings, Rizwan and Babar Shine Among Batsmen

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani cricket sensation and star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has jumped multiple places in the latest T20I player rankings issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Shaheen Afridi’s stellar performances have propelled him three places up the rankings, now securing the 12th position among the top T20I bowlers globally with an impressive rating of 631.

The coveted top spot in the T20I bowling rankings is held by England’s Adil Rashid, closely followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and India’s Axar Patel in second and third positions, respectively.

Shaheen Afridi stands as the only Pakistani bowler within the top 20 T20I bowlers. Haris Rauf trails behind at 25th position with a rating of 574.

The latest ICC rankings also highlight Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan’s ascent, securing the seventh spot after climbing two places.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s dynamic duo of wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam continue to shine, occupying third and fourth positions, respectively, with ratings of 769 and 761.

The coveted top spot among T20I batters is currently held by India’s Suryakumar Yadav, closely trailed by England’s Phil Salt in second place. England’s captain Jos Buttler has moved up to seventh place in the T20I batting rankings.

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga leads the all-rounder category with a commanding rating of 228, followed closely by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan in second place.

Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim has made significant strides, ascending four places to share the 12th spot in the T20I all-rounder rankings with teammate Shadab Khan, who has slipped one position.
