BARRANQUILLA: Shakira has shared a touching memory of her sons’ first day of school. In an interview with media, she discussed her move from Barcelona to Miami and the challenges it brought, especially for her sons Sasha and Milan.

The “Whenever, Wherever” singer admitted she was anxious about how her children would adjust to their new environment.

She recalled, “I will never forget, on the first day of school, I was incredibly nervous. But when I picked them up, they jumped on me, hugged me, and said, ‘We love it!’ My eyes had been wide open all day, expecting the worst, but they came out running and jumping with joy.”

Shakira added, “When kids find a good environment at school, it is easy for them. Meanwhile, adults have to find friends too, but there’s no school for us at our age.”

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Shakira spoke about her experience as a single mother. The Colombian singer explained how she balances her busy career with parenting, often staying up late to spend quality time with her sons.
