LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided in principle to restore Shalimar Express Train between Lahore and Karachi in May this year.
This decision was taken in a meeting presided over by Railways and Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique held at the PR headquarters. The federal minister reviewed the roadmap for restoration and upgradation of the trains as recommended by the Pakistan Railways administration.
He directed the administration to upgrade Pak Business Express and Karakoram Express in line with the Green Line train. The participants of the meeting reviewed different models of earning from the railways’ land and reduction in the assessment of the ML-1 project.
