Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has tendered resignation from the post of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President, local media reported on Monday. The development comes as the PML-N a meeting of PML-N executive council has also been summoned in Lahore on May 18. According to local media reports, the meeting has been summoned as per party constitution. It added that acting President of the party will be nominated during the meeting of PML-N. A local TV reported that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be nominated as acting president of the party.
