ISLAMABAD: A senior leader of the PPP and former Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Shehla Raza, on Wednesday appealed to all political parties to refrain from making the election process controversial, as transparent elections are the only means of guaranteeing political stability in Pakistan.

In an interview with state news channel, Shehla underscored that despite facing various allegations, the PPP remained focused on its election campaigns. She urged all political entities to allow ample space for each other in the electoral process and trust the voters instead of engaging in blame games.

Highlighting the PPP’s commitment to improving the conditions of the common person during its governance, she pointed out that the party stands firmly with the people and is poised to form the next government. She expressed confidence in the PPP’s ability to secure a significant victory in Sindh, emphasizing the need to implement the national action plan effectively.

Responding to a question, the former deputy speaker stated that every budget would be deemed unconstitutional and discriminatory until the National Finance Commission (NFC) is given due consideration. She reiterated the PPP’s unwavering stance on not compromising on the economic rights of the people, the constitution of Pakistan, and the equal distribution of funds among all provinces.
