PARIS: France’s CMA CGM is making efforts and planning a gradual surge in the number of vessels transiting via the Suez Canal, the shipping firms announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, CMA CGM said that several vessels have made the transit via the Red Sea but this decision is based on an in-depth assessment of the security landscape and their commitment to the security and safety of their seafarers.

The statement maintained that they are currently developing plans for the gradual increase in the number of vessels transiting via the Suez Canal.
It further added that they are monitoring the situation continuously and they stand ready to promptly reconsider and adjust their plans as needed.
