NEW DELHI: Singer Atif Aslam is set to make a comeback to the Indian film industry after seven years.
His return will mark his debut in the Malayalam film industry of India. The announcement was recently made regarding his involvement in the movie ‘Haal,’ where he will lend his vocals to a song.
Directed by Prashanth Vijayakumar and produced by JVJ Productions, ‘Haal’ will feature Atif’s comeback to Indian cinema after seven years. The film stars Shane Nigam in the main role.
Filming for the movie will commence in Kozhikode, Kerala, before moving to Mysore, Karnataka, and eventually to Jordan as production progresses. Shane Nigam is expected to join the shoot in early May after wrapping up his current project.
Currently engrossed in filming the Tamil movie ‘Madraskaaran,’ Shane shared his excitement about collaborating with Atif for the first time. He posted an old photo with the singer on his Instagram handle, expressing his admiration for Atif’s music and his gratitude for the opportunity to work together on a song for ‘Haal.’
Atif Aslam gained prominence in Bollywood with his chart-topping song ‘Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein’ from the 2005 film ‘Zeher.’ He has delivered numerous hit songs like ‘Dil Diyan Gallan,’ ‘Jeene Laga Hoon,’ ‘Jeena Jeena,’ ‘Bakhuda Tumhi Ho,’ ‘Allah Duhai Hai,’ among others, amassing a considerable fan base in India.
