Sino-Pak Joint Air Drill Shaheen-X Begins in China

ISLAMABAD: The Sino-Pak joint annual air drill Shaheen-X has started in the Jiuquan and Yinchuan cities of Northwest China. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF)’s lead fighter planes, J-10 C and JF-17, are participating in the drill along with air and ground crew.

The People’s Liberation Army Air Force and PAF have been conducting Shaheen joint drills since 2011, which are being hosted by both sides on an alternate basis, a PAF press release said.

The Shaheen drill aims to enhance aerial combat practices operational preparedness, promoting interoperability and creating synergy amongst the participating time-tested and strategic allies in the region.

Additionally, the incorporation of features like hybrid warfare, computing, and cyberspace in this air drill would augment PAF’s effectiveness in the dynamic and evolving landscape of modern warfare.

Exercise to Leverage Pak-China Develop Comprehensive Defence Strategy

The drill would leverage the iron-brother nations to develop a comprehensive defence strategy to further strengthen their capacity to safeguard aerial boundaries in the face of common challenges.

The 10th joint aerial drill between the venerable People’s Liberation Army Air Force and PAF heralds a significant endeavour to strengthen the bonds of unity and camaraderie between the Air Forces of both nations.

The drill is all set to elevate the caliber of practical combat training for participating valiant personnel and adroit pilots.

Through such joint ventures, the Pakistan Air Force reaffirms its unwavering commitment to fostering regional harmony, international security and perpetual advancement in its own prowess.
