ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed the envoys of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State of Palestine, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, Kenya, and the Republic of Turkiye, as they presented their diplomatic credentials during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The president received credentials from several newly appointed ambassadors: Avazbek Atakhanov from the Kyrgyz Republic, Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid from the State of Palestine, Choe Chang Man from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Alisher Tukhtaey from Uzbekistan, Lt Gen (Retd) Peter Mbogo Njiru, the High Commissioner-designate of Kenya, and Irfan Neziroglu from Turkiye. Each envoy also held separate meetings with the president.
During the ceremony, President Zardari congratulated the envoys on their appointments and expressed hope that they would contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral relations with Pakistan in trade, economy, and culture.
Upon their arrival at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the envoys were honored with a guard of honor from a distinguished contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
