Six Including Children, Women Killed in Quetta Gas Leakage Explosion

QUETTA: At least four children and two women were killed when a roof of a house collapsed after an explosion due to gas leakage in Quetta, local media reported on Tuesday quoting sources.

They said the explosion occurred in Quetta’s Sarki Kalan area. According to the rescue officials, five people were killed when the roof of the house collapsed after the explosion while one person was burnt to death. They said four others including a child were injured in the incident.

It turns out to be more tragic that the deceased belonged to the same family. The injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Gas leakage incidents

At least 16 people, including children, had died in the gas leakage incidents in the month of January alone in Quetta city of Pakistan‘s southwestern Balochistan province.
