Six Soldiers Martyred, Three Terrorists Killed in Exchange of Fire: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A fire exchange took place between terrorists and troops in the general area of Dirduni, North Waziristan District, that left three terrorists dead, army media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

A statement issued by ISPR said that the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and three terrorists were sent to hell while injuring two others.

However, during an intense exchange of fire, six brave soldiers embraced Shahadat, having fought gallantly.

The martyred soldiers are Havaldar Saleem Khan (age 36 years, a resident of District Tank), Naik Javed Iqbal (age 37 years, a resident of District Kohat), Sepoy Nazir Khan (age 26 years, a resident of District Bannu), Sepoy Hazrat Bilal (age 25 years, a resident of District Mardan), Sepoy Syed Rajab Hussain (age 22 years, a resident of District Orakzai) and Sepoy Bismillah Jan (age 22 years, a resident of District Khyber).

“Sanitisation of that area is being carried out to eliminate any presence of terrorists. The security forces of Pakistan are committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism, and such courageous warriors’ sacrifices only serve to deepen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
