Weather Update: Smog In Punjab, KP, Gilgit Recorded Lowest Temperature Minus 4,

ISLAMABAD: The next twelve hours are anticipated to bring mainly cold and dry conditions across Pakistan, with northern regions and north Balochistan experiencing very cold temperatures.

Dense fog and smog are likely to persist in the plains of Punjab, while upper Sindh, Pothohar region, and plains in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa may also encounter fog and smog during the night and morning hours.

The recorded temperatures this morning reveal Islamabad at four degrees Celsius, Lahore at eight, Karachi at sixteen, Peshawar at five, Quetta at zero, Gilgit at minus four, Murree at two, and Muzaffarabad at three degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar and Anantnag recorded minus-one degree Celsius, Jammu at eight, Leh at minus-six, and Pulwama, Baramulla, and Shopian at minus two degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to brace for the cold and stay vigilant, especially in regions prone to dense fog and smog.
