SNGPL Disconnects 718 More Meters on Gas Theft

LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has disconnected 718 more connections during the ongoing crackdown on gas theft in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad and imposed a fine of Rs 24 crore.

According to an SNGPL spokesperson, in Lahore and Sheikhupura, regional teams disconnected 549 connections due to illegal use of gas and imposed a fine of Rs 19.6 million against gas theft and also lodged 21 FIRs.

In Multan and Bahawalpur, 139 connections were disconnected for illegal usage, besides imposing a fine of Rs 3 million.

In Peshawar, the company disconnected 28 connections due to illegal use of gas. –APP
