Sohai Ali Abro Reveals Reason Behind Three-Year Acting Hiatus

ISLAMABAD: Renowned Pakistani actress Sohai Ali Abro, famous for her role in the hit drama Pyarey Afzal, has revealed the reason behind her extended break from acting.

In an interview, the actress opened up about her personal life, sharing that her three-year hiatus followed her marriage and the birth of her daughter.

Abro, who has kept a low profile over the past few years, announced that she is ready to return to the screen, with plans to take on new projects in the near future. The actress expressed her desire to use her acting career to deliver meaningful messages that could positively impact viewers.

Reflecting on her journey in the entertainment industry, Sohai said, “I want to take on work that has substance and leaves a lasting impression on people’s lives.” She emphasized the importance of dramas and films that resonate with audiences and inspire change.

When asked about her views on marriage, Sohai Ali Abro described the contract as sacred, whether arranged or based on love.

She also touched on her emotional nature, admitting that she tends to experience emotions intensely. “I get angry very quickly, but I also fall in love just as fast,” she said, adding that when it comes to love, she does not believe in half measures, choosing to love with all her heart.

Sohai’s fans fondly remember her performances in several popular dramas and films, including Kahani Aik Raat Ki, Bhabhi, Surkh Chandni, Prem Gali, and the box office hit Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. Her on-screen chemistry with Farhan Saeed in Prem Gali earned the pair the Favourite Jodi Award at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards.
