South Korean Ambassador Commends NUML Students Knowledge on Korea

ISLAMABAD: The National University of Modern Languages hosted the 2024 Quiz on Korea on Tuesday. The event was jointly arranged by the Embassy of South Korea and the Department of Korean Language & Culture in Islamabad at NUML in Islamabad.

It was attended by South Korean ambassador Park Kijun, NUML Registrar Dr. Atif Faraz, Dean faculty of Languages Professor Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, the Head of the Department (HoD) of Korean Language and Culture Ahtisham Hussain, the faculty and a large number of students.

The students demonstrated vast knowledge of the culture and history of Korea and the participants were awarded with gift prizes. The first prize winner won the Samsung Tab A9 with 128 GB of storage, second prize winner won the Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm in classic black and the 7 participants were awarded the Galaxy Buds 2, one of the masterpieces of Samsung with its exceptional audio excellence along with heartfelt certificates of appreciation.

Pakistan-South Korea Relations

In his address, Park Kijun highlighted the pivotal role played by initiatives such as the learning of the Korean language and events like the 2024 Quiz on Korea in bolstering bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea.

In the concluding remarks, Dean Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami congratulated all the students and wished good luck to all the Korean-speaking Pakistani students.

He also shared his optimism regarding the future of bilateral relations and the people-to-people interaction between Pakistan and South Korea.
