South Korean Embassy Holds K-POP Festival 2023 at PNCA

ISLAMABAD: South Korean embassy organized the ‘K-POP Festival 2023 at the Pakistan National Council of Arts where young K-POP fans presented exhilarating performances.

The festival was attended by the Ambassador of South Korea to Pakistan Park Kijun, the Head of the Department of Korean Language and Culture Ahtisham Hussain, representatives from various Korean companies, and a huge number of people, students and K-POP fans.

King Sejong Institute’s Director Dr Atif Faraz, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the NCA Saima Sallahuddin and Ayesha Durrani were the judges for the Festival.

The K-POP Festival had two categories Dance and Vocal. both categories’ performers demonstrated their skills exceptionally well and were appreciated by the participants.

Ambassador Park Kijun lauded the performances of all the participants, saying that the 2023 K-POP Festival had special importance this time as this year marked the 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and South Korea.

He said that it was incredible how music and culture could connect different people from all across the world. Culture was one of the many factors that unify the people of Pakistan and South Korea.

The ambassador emphasized that such festivals should be organized frequently as they increase people-to-people interactions and further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Envoy Optimistic Pakistan-South Korea Relations

The envoy said that he was pretty hopeful and optimistic about the future of the bilateral relations between Korea and Pakistan.

The winners from both categories were encouraged by gift prizes. The attendees also received gift hampers from the Embassy.
