ISLAMABAD: The Press Secretary of South Korea’s embassy in Islamabad, Yu Jin Gyu visited WENEWS office, Islamabad on Friday and lauded the professionalism of the staff members. He met with staff members and expressed happiness over WENEWS contributions in the digital media. The diplomat took special interest in the sports, and culture sections of the WENEWS and termed culture as a very strong bond in bringing people of different regions together.
He was of the view that media is a very important medium to present a soft image of the society. He took special interest to read and watch the stories of WENEWS about the global scenarios and wished more success for this digital platform for further growth.
WENEWS staff and Yu Jin Gyu discussed the role of digital media in the society during the visit. The visiting dignitary was of the view that it is the age of digital media and more and more focus should be given to digital platforms to take benefit from the new trends in the media industry as the traditional media cannot compete with digital platforms without accepting the new realities in the technology. He said that Pakistan and South Korea should further enhance bilateral relations and cooperate in diverse sectors like trade and tourism.
