ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Ms. Valentina Matvienko, is set to arrive in Pakistan on Sunday for an official visit from October 27 to 29. The visit was extended by Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani.
This trip is expected to be a pivotal moment in enhancing diplomatic and parliamentary ties between the two nations. Matvienko’s presence is anticipated to further strengthen Pakistan-Russia relations, with high-level engagements planned.
During her stay, she will meet with Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of the National Assembly. Furthermore, she will address a special session of the Senate on Monday, October 28.
These meetings are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation in parliamentary diplomacy, cultural exchanges, and other key areas of mutual interest.
