Speakers Pay Tribute To APS Martyrs

MULTAN: In a solemn event organized by the Sha’oor Taraqiyati Organization, Awaz Foundation, and Civil Society Forum (CSF), prominent speakers termed the tragic incident at the Army Public School (APS) as the darkest day in the history of Pakistan.

The aim of the event was to observe the ninth anniversary of the APS attack that left more than 147 people, mostly children, martyred and stressed the importance of unity in confronting the threats posed by extremism and terrorism.

Key speakers at the event, including Shahid Mahmood Ansari, Farah Malik, Chaudhry Mansoor Advocate, and others, came together to pay tribute to the martyrs of the APS attack. They expressed unwavering solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident.

Moreover, a candlelight prayer ceremony was held at Pakistan Baitul Mal Sweet Home, attracting a significant number of participating children. Civil society activists addressed the ceremony, acknowledging the role of security forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

The speakers urged for a united front against extremism, emphasizing its importance in achieving long-lasting peace in the region.
