SPL to Help Find Young Talent: Minister

KARACHI: The Sindh Premier League (SPL) is likely to play a key role in promoting cricket in Sindh, as it aims to bring forth good talent in the province, said Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.

Media reports quoted the provincial minister saying the Sindh government actively engages with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to facilitate this initiative.

Shah said this during the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Provincial Assembly Auditorium, with the gold sponsor of the inaugural season of the Premier League.

SACM for Sports, Arbab Lutfullah, said that the Pakistan People’s Party is determined to help cricket players lacking the necessary resources to pursue their passion.

On the occasion, Chairman Al Hayat Group, Jahanzeb Alam expressed his pride in being associated with the SPL, while former test player Javed Miandad said that the SPL is a dream come true for him.
