Balochistan Govt Committed to Socio-economic Uplift: Farah

ISLAMABAD: The Balochistan Government’s spokesperson, Farah Azeem Shah, on Monday said that the provincial government of Balochistan is determined to socio-economic uplift the province’s people.

Addressing a news conference, the spokesperson said that the royalty of the Reko Diq project had been raised from 2 percent to 5 percent for the people of Balochistan. The spokesperson said that the opening ceremony of the Reko Diq project would be held in January at Quetta.

The provincial government’s spokesperson said that in the past, Balochistan was ignored in developmental projects, but Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo was committed to giving the due right to the people of Balochistan.

Farah Azeem Shah further said that the people and the Government of Balochistan strongly condemn the terrorist activities in Balochistan. She said no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace and development of Balochistan.

“There would be no compromise on the sovereignty of Pakistan and Balochistan,” she said.
