ISLAMABAD: The annual sports mania was held at Roots Millennium School in Islamabad on Saturday, with energetic and vibrant displays of gymnastics, karate, and a variety of races.
Adding to the spirit were the musical performances by the school choir to keep the spirits high. The students showed strength and skills as they competed in races with fun hurdles.
Chanting of slogans to buck up their houses of ‘Courage,’ ‘Peace,’ ‘Unity,’ and drum beats added to the flavour of the sports day.
Sports events are essential for mental as well as physical health.
A mother appreciated the efforts saying, “Such events are the true essence of education, and physical activity is essential for mental as well as physical health.”
She said school sports events are unique, and we always look forward to the annual sports. “We cherish our kids, and sports and games have benefits beyond health and fitness, inculcating leadership, unity, and competitive spirit among the students.”
