Sri Lanka 229 For 4 At The End Of 30 Overs

HYDERABAD: Sri Lanka lost their fourth wicket for 229 runs and Pakistan are back in the game at the end of 30 overs in the Cricket World Cup match played at the Hyderabad Cricket Stadium.

Hasan Ali bowled a superb delivery to Asalanka in the 30th over which Rizwan took a diving catch at first slip.

Asalanka scored 1 run against three deliveries.

Earlier, Mendis scored 122 in 77 balls laced with 14 fours and six sixes for a success rate of 158.

Sri Lanka won the toss and took the crease. Left-handed batsman Nissanka returned to the pavilion without disturbing the batsman.

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera  from Sri Lanka opened the running account. When Perera returned to the pavilion, Mendis joined Nissan and they cemented the innings by scoring a half-century.
