Standing Committees Present Six Reports in Senate

ISLAMABAD: Various standing committees presented six reports, including details of postings of incumbent Civil Aviation Authority director general, the number of detained Pakistani in Guantanamo Bay jail, and target killing incidents in North and South Waziristan districts, in the Senate on Friday.

Senator Abida Muhammad Azeem presented the report on the subject matter of starred question number fourteen asked by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed on 4 January, 2022, regarding the total number of Pakistani nationals currently detained in Guantanamo Bay jail.

Senator Hidayat Ullah, Standing Committee on Aviation Chairman, presented a report on the subject matter of starred question number 2 asked by Senator Naseebullah Bazai on 5 November 2021, regarding details of appointments of Civil Aviation Authority director general, during the last 15 years, their, tenure and stations of postings.

Senator Hidayat Ullah also presented report on the subject matter of starred question number 4 asked by Senator Bahramand Khan Tangi on 5 November 2021, regarding service or group to which the incumbent Civil Aviation Authority director general belongs and his substantive salary scale.

Another report presented by him on the starred question number 5 asked by Senator Bahramand Khan Tangi on 5 November 2021, regarding the current Civil Aviation Authority director general that whether he does not have a professional experience in Aviation field but rather is an officer of Pakistan Administrative Service.

Report in Senate on target killing incidents in Waziristan

Senator Saif Ullah Abro presented report on a point of public importance raised by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed on 4 August 2022, regarding the target killing incidents in North and South Waziristan districts.
