ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Thursday said that Pakistan’s Defence Day is the tale of bravery and heroism.
In a tributary message on Pakistan’s Defence Day being observed on Friday, September 6, an APHC spokesman lauded the heroes of the 1965 war who sacrificed their lives to defend their motherland and defeated the evil designs of the enemy.
The spokesman said that a strong and prosperous Pakistan is not only a key to peace in the region but also a guarantee to the success of the legitimate freedom movement of the Kashmiri people.
APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt and senior Hurriyat leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah paid glowing tributes to the heroes of the 1965 war who sacrificed their lives to defend Pakistan against Indian aggression.
Illegally detained Hurriyat leaders in their messages from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on the eve of Pakistan’s Defense Day, said that the day is a tale of bravery and heroism, and that a strong and prosperous Pakistan is essential for peace in the South Asian region and the success of the Kashmiri people’s freedom movement.
The APHC leaders thanked Pakistan for its continued support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for the right to self-determination and urged the international community to resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
Meanwhile, in India the Congress has unveiled a damning charge sheet against the BJP-led Indian government’s policies in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting systemic suppression, anti-Kashmir measures, and favoritism towards corporate interests.
Addressing a gathering at Sangaldan in Ramban district, Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi revoked the special status of Kashmir to benefit his billionaire friends.
