SWABI: Contractual Employees of the University of Swabi and Women University Swabi on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration at Aman Chowk for their regularization.
The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against government policies and in favour of their regulation. The protesting employees said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government was proponent of promoting education; however, the government failed to regularize contractual employees of both the universities which is must for the promotion of education in the province.
Government Ignores Swabi University
The protesters said that the government has ignored rules and regulation to regularize highly qualified staff. They said that the contractual employees are working in the educational institutions on temporary basis since long.
They said,” Government is only paying lip to teachers who are being mistreated at every level. They said that protests would be continued till fulfillment of their rightful demands.”
