ISLAMABAD: Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon on Monday congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on being elected as the President of Pakistan for the record second time.
In his congratulatory message, President Rahmon conveyed sincere congratulations and best wishes on Zardari’s election to the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Rahmmon expressed high appreciation for the current level of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
President Rahmon reiterated Tajikistan’s commitment to further expanding these relations based on shared historical and cultural values, mutual understanding, respect, and trust.
He emphasized the importance of active dialogue at both the highest and highest levels to strengthen and broaden relations between the two nations.
Tajikistan’s President also reaffirmed his determination to enhance and diversify the content of relations in various areas of mutual interest between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
Furthermore, he extended wishes for President Zardari’s good health, well-being, and success in his state activities. President Rahmon also expressed hopes for Pakistan’s enduring peace, stability, progress, and prosperity.
