Taraweeh Prayer Congregations Held Across Pakistan as Ramadan Begins

ISLAMABAD: On the eve of the first Ramadan, congregational Taraweeh prayers were held at mosques throughout Pakistan, marking the beginning of the holy month of fasting.

Faithful gathered to offer the first Taraweeh prayer after the sighting of the moon of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, signifying the start of the sacred month.

In Islamabad and mosques across the nation, hundreds of thousands of worshippers participated in Isha and Taraweeh prayers on the inaugural night of Ramadan. The Faisal Mosque in Islamabad witnessed a significant turnout of faithful to offer Taraweeh prayer.

The commencement of Ramadan was officially confirmed in Pakistan as the crescent moon was sighted, as announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Monday. Consequently, the holy month will begin in the country from Tuesday onwards.

With the advent of Ramadan, Muslims across Pakistan have embraced the opportunity to engage in acts of worship, reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation, seeking the blessings and rewards of this auspicious time.
